What Is Coworking?

Coworking is a new form of membership-based officing where small businesses, startups, and telecommuters conduct their individual work in a shared office environment. A mixture of open work spaces and private offices provides choice and flexibility for members to work in a community setting.

The first coworking space was founded in 2005 in San Francisco, and at last count there were over 12,000 coworking spaces up and running in the world. Local Office® is excited to launch in Houston TX, in the heart of West University.

The modern workplace is powered by coworking.

FAQ

Can I take calls in coworking?: Coworking is a hub of creativity and often abuzz with genius. Too many rules tend to stifle that, so we just ask that you are considerate of your fellow coworkers, always. We also have private (and awesome) phone booths for you to use.
Can I have meetings?: We love the idea of you showing off your new digs so we provide 5 hours of complimentary meeting room space for you with your membership. Using the online booking calendar you can reserve one of our conference rooms with ease and without the fear of double booking with someone.
What are the coworking hours?: 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.
How much is a day pass?: Coworking day passes are $25/day. We also have a Pre-Paid Coworking Pass program where you can buy 6 passes and get 1 free, buy 9 passes and get 2 free, or buy 12 passes and get 3 free

Local Office provides a great collaborative atmosphere to do business. I love their set up, the amenities they provide and the location is great! I looked at WeWork and Regus, Local Office is far easier to get in and out of and is more efficient for my needs! It’s also a bonus to support local small business. Local Office is unlike any of the other coworking spaces I have visited in the past. This one is very clean and in a perfect location with parking. It is in the center of Houston near lots of businesses and restaurants etc. Not just that but the offices have great office furniture that is comfortable and easily adaptable to everyones needs- there are a range of different environments to work in: conference rooms, small offices, phone rooms, a library and breakroom space that also functions as a lounge. The owner is really great at communicating and quick at responding. The interior of this place is very fun and comfortable to work in.. not to mention the coffee and high speed internet. Contact local office if you are looking for short term leases and not wanting to lock in to years in other office spaces.

Blazing fast high speed internet is beyond awesome. They have perfect modern small offices to get your work done and even fully functioning private offices available for short term lease.
